You don’t want the cake without the frosting! This will give you a deeper insight into the scriptures used for the prayers. But first, feel free to watch the below video to understand why I do these prayers the way I do.
7 I praise Yahuwah, Who has given me counsel; yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons. 8 I strive continually to be like Yahuwah; because He is at my right hand, I am not moved, overthrown or shaken. 9Therefore my heart is glad and my inner self rejoices; my body too rests and confidently dwells in safety, (10) for You will not abandon me to Sheol the place of the dead, neither do You suffer Your loyal saint to see corruption. 11 You make me intimately familiar with the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
1 Hear my righteous cause, O Yahuwah; listen to my shrill, piercing cry! Give ear to my prayer that comes from lips free of fraud, deceit, treason and betrayal. 2 My sentence of vindication comes from You! Your eyes behold the things that are just and upright. 3You have proved my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me and find no evil purpose in me; I have devised a plan to prevent my mouth from transgressing.
4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of Your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent; the paths of the destroyer. 5 My steps have held closely to Your paths to the tracks of the One Who has gone on before; my feet have not slipped. 6 I call upon You, O Yahuwah, for You hear me; incline Your ear to me and hear my speech. 7 You show me Your marvelous loving-kindness; You save me by Your right hand from those who rise up against me since I trust and take refuge in You. 8 You keep and guard me as the pupil of Your eye; You protect and defend me and give me safe refuge (9) from those guilty of Torah violations and hostile to You; the mixers who would strip me of my possessions and valuables and attempt to rob, plunder and pillage me using injurious or destructive force; and attempt to burden me with cruel or unjust impositions or restraints that if allowed to would lie heavily upon my mind and attempt to destroy me; these deadly adversaries who surround me. 10 They are enclosed in their own prosperity and have shut up their hearts to pity; with their mouths they make exorbitant claims and proudly and arrogantly speak. 11 They track us down in each step we take; now they surround us; they lock in with their eyes to cast us to the ground, 12Like a lion greedy and eager to tear his prey, and as a young lion lurking in hidden places.
13 Arise, O Yahuwah! Go before me and hinder them, cast them down! Deliver my life from those guilty of Torah violations and hostile to You by Your sword, (14) from men by Your hand, O Yahuwah, from men of this world; these poor moths of the night whose portion in life is idle and vain. Their bellies are filled with Your hidden treasure what You have stored up; their children are satiated, and they leave the rest of their wealth to their babes.
15As for me, I continue beholding Your face in righteousness, rightness, justice, and right standing with You; I am fully satisfied, when I awake to find myself beholding Your form and having sweet communion with You.
I have my abode in the hiding place of the elevated, exalted, omnipotent, constant Supreme Being, who has overwhelming majesty. I remain stable and fixed under the protection and defense of Yahuwah the powerful, mighty, self-sufficient one; the one having the power of an erupting mountain; the power that no foe can withstand.
2I declare and utter the spoken Word of Yahuwah, He is my Protection, my Fortress, my Mighty Creator; on Him I lean and rely, and to Yahuwah I attach myself, trust in, depend upon and only in Him do I confidently trust, recognizing that Yahuwah is in complete control!
3 He has snatched me away and drawn me out from the plots, devises, and nets of the fowler and from the calamity, perverse things and wicked destructions or plagues which are a punishment from Yahuwah resulting in death.
4He has hedged, fenced about and shut me in with His wings (metaphorically), and under the corners of His garments I flee for protection; His firmness, trustworthiness, sureness, reliability, stability, and truth are a shield and a buckler to me.
5I have no emotional or intellectual anticipation of what may go wrong for me; I am secure from the dread, terror or panic of the time when light holds back and ominous darkness comes in, I am secure from the arrow, the evil plots and slanders of the wicked, that happens in broad daylight,
6I am secure from the cattle plague that stalks in the gloom, the ruin or defeat of a plague, pestilence and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.
7A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not touch me nor shall it come into my immediate proximity.
8I am only a spectator; I am inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High as I witness the retribution, recompense, punishment, or penalty upon the morally wrong, lawless, poorly regulated, confused ones who are the cause of perpetual agitation to others; who are guilty of violating the social rights of others through oppression, greed, exploitation, murder, dishonesty in business, and who twist justice in the courts; people who have broken the Torah; people who lay snares to trap the righteous.
9I have established and placed myself in a new, special relationship with Yahuwah my refuge, and the Most High my dwelling place,
10Nothing that gives me pain or causes me unhappiness befalls me, nor any blows, strokes, wounds, diseases or calamities come near my tent.
11For You arranged for, ordained, commissioned, delegated and commanded Your angelelic deputies a commission to watch over me; to accompany, defend and preserve me as I go on my journey upon the Way of Life; since I obediently serve You.
12They raise me up on the flat part of their palm, lest I suffer a blow to my foot against a stone that is fatal, disastrous and capable of causing death.
13I tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion, the land monsters and the images of Egypt I trample underfoot.
14Because I am attached to, take pleasure in, join together with, adhere to, cleave to, and am devoted to you, therefore You deliver me; You seat me on high, because I perceive, understand, acquire knowledge about, know, am acquainted with in an intimate way, have knowledge gained through my senses and know You on a personal level and understand Your name. I have personal knowledge of Your favor and provision to the camp. I trust and rely on You knowing You will never forsake me, no, never.
15 I call upon Your name to summon your aid, and You answer me; You are with me in trouble, You extricate, rescue, and deliver me and make me great and mighty; wealthy; and You honor me and I carry a lot of weight with You.
16With long life You satisfy me and give me revelation about Your excellent health, prosperity, and deliverance from stress; Your Yahuwshuwah (salvation).
5th Book of the Torah 5
1 And Mashah called all Yashar’Al, and said to them, Hear, O Yashar’Al, the statutes and ordinances which I speak in your hearing this day, that you may learn them, train yourself with them, accustom yourself to them, teach them, familiarize yourself with them by using them and treasure them up in your memory, devote your service to, attend to do them making them known, and publicly proclaiming them. 2 Yahuwah your Mighty Creator made a covenant with us in Horeb. 3 Yahuwah made this covenant not with our fathers, but with us, who are all of us here alive this day.
4 Yahuwah spoke with you face to face at the mount out of the midst of the fire. 5 I stood between Yahuwah and you at that time to show you the Word of Yahuwah for you were afraid because of the fire and went not up into the mount. He said,
6 Yahuwah my Mighty Creator, has caused me to exit the land without return; the abode of darkness where I was a slave. 7 I have no other rulers or judges in front of Yahuwah. 8 I do not fashion, make, produce, deal with, attend to, put in order, observe, celebrate, acquire, institute for myself a graven image or any form, image, LIKENESS, REPRESENTATION, OR SEMBLANCE OF ANYTHING that is in the abode of the stars above or that is IN THE WHOLE EARTH BENEATH or that is in the transitory things under the earth. 9 I do not work for, serve another by labor, serve as a subject, make myself a servant; nor do I allow anyone to force, drive, or compel me to labor, work for, or serve as a being under the dominion, rule, or authority, as of some governing power; nor am I led on by excited have a confident expectation, desire, or pleasing beauty or attractiveness to serve them; for on account of these types of things Yahuwah my Mighty Creator is provoked to a jealous anger, punishing the perversity, depravity, iniquity, guilt, or consequence of iniquity of the head or founder of a household, group, family, or clan upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Him, 10 But He acts with zeal, great warmth of feeling, kind acts, shows His favor, and gives His benefits to thousands and to a thousand generations of those who are like me having an appetite for Him as much as food, drink, sleep, wisdom and keeping within the bounds of His commandments. 11 I lift up, bear up, and carry, the reputation, fame, and majesty; the memorial or monument of the name Yahuwah my Mighty Creator as full of truthful meaning, for Yahuwah will not hold me innocent, pure, free from guilt or exempt from punishment if I take away His name and replace it with emptiness, vanity, falsehood, or anything which disappoints the have a confident expectation reposed in it. 12 I observe, keep, guard, give heed, protect, watch for, wait for, treasure up in my memory, celebrate, preserve, and protect the Sabbath day to keep it consecrated, as Yahuwah my Mighty Creator has commanded me.
13 Six days I serve Yahuwah and do all He has called me to do, 14 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahuwah my Mighty Creator; in it I do not do any work, me or my son or my daughter, or my manservant or my maidservant, or my ox or my donkey or any of my livestock, or the stranger or sojourner who is within my gates, that my manservant and my maidservant may rest as well as myself. 15 I call to mind that I was a slave in the land without return; the under world state of confined, walled in Babylon, and Yahuwah my Mighty Creator delivered me out thence through mighty power and by stretched out force: therefore Yahuwah my Mighty Creator commanded me to celebrate and make as an offering the Sabbath, Day of Atonement, and Sabbath year. 16 I treat as weighty my father and my mother, as Yahuwah my Mighty Creator has charged me, that my days may be continued long and that it may be right and beautiful with me in the land which Yahuwah my Mighty Creator bestows upon me as my wages. 17 I do not commit accidental or premeditated murder or assassination as an avenger. 18 I do not commit adultery with the wife of another nor do I participate in idolatrous worship. 19 I do not steal. 20 I do not testify as a witness falsely against another person. 21 I do not desire greatly another person’s wife, nor desire another person’s habitation, his field, his manservant or his concubine, his ox or his donkey, or anything that is another person’s. 22 These words Yahuwah spoke to all our assembly at the mountain out of the midst of the supernatural fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and He spoke not again [added no more]. He engraved them on two tables of stone and gave them to me [Mashah].
Yahuwah is my Almighty, Who has brought me out of the land of Babylon, out of the house of bondage. 3 I have no other authorities before or besides Yahuwah.
4I do not make myself any graven image to worship it or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 I do not bow down myself to them or serve them; for Yahuwah my Almighty is the severe avenger of anyone who departs from Him or His Commandments, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Him, 6 But He acts with zeal, great warmth of feeling, kind acts shows His favor, and gives His benefits to a thousand generations of those who keep their eyes fixed on His Tent and keep His commandments.
7 I do not use or repeat the name of Yahuwah my Almighty in vain that is, lightly or frivolously, in false affirmations or bring it to ruin; for Yahuwah will not hold me guiltless if I make His name in empty, worthless, or nothingness.
8 I earnestly remember the Sabbath day, to keep it consecrated and withdraw from common employment and dedicate it to The Almighty. 9Six days I labor and do all my work, 10But the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahuwah my Almighty; in it I do not do any work, me, or my son, my daughter, my manservant, my concubine, my domestic animals, or the sojourner within my gates. 11For in six days Yahuwah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. That is why Yahuwah baracked the Sabbath day and consecrated it for His purposes.
12 I regard and treat with honor, due obedience, and courtesy my father and mother, that my days
may be long in the land Yahuwah my Almighty gives me.
13 I do not commit murder.
14 I do not mongrelize.
15I do not steal.
16 I do not witness falsely against my neighbor.
17 I do not covet my neighbor’s house, my neighbor’s wife, or his manservant, or his concubine, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is my neighbor’s.
18Now all the people perceived the thunderings and the lightnings and the noise of the trumpet and the smoking mountain, and as they looked they trembled with fear and fell back and stood afar off. 19And they said to Mashah, You speak to us and we will listen, but let not The Almighty speak to us, lest we die. 20And Mashah said to the people, Fear not; for The Almighty has come to prove, test, or assay you, so that the reverential fear of Him may be before you that you may not wander from the Way and stumble.
21And the people stood afar off, but Mashah drew near to the thick darkness where The Almighty was. 22And Yahuwah said to Mashah, Thus shall you say to the Yisra’elites, You have seen for yourselves that I have talked with you from Shamayim.
23 I do not make the idols to share with Yahuwah His majesty and His worship; the idols of silver or the idols of gold I do not make for myself.
24 An altar of earth I make to Him and sacrifice on it my burnt offerings and my salvation offerings, my sheep and my oxen. Since Yahuwah has caused me to remember His name and has caused me to meditate and think upon it, Yahuwah enters into an intimate relationship with me, gives me access to His secret counsel, makes His abode with me, and performs His Covenant toward me, gives me His favor and causes me to prosper.
25And if I make Him an altar of stone, I do not build it of hewn stone, for if I lift up a tool upon it I have polluted it. 26Neither shall I go up by steps to His altar, that my nakedness be not exposed upon it.
5You, O Yahuwah, Commander of the angel armies, the Mighty Creator of Yashar’Al, arise to visit all the nations; spare none and make no provision to the camp of any who use falsehood, fraud, or vain words. 6They return at evening, they howl and snarl like dogs, and go prowling about the city. 7 Behold, they belch out (5) insults with their mouths; swords of (1) sarcasm, (2) ridicule, (3) slander, and (4) lies are in their lips, for who, they think, hears us?
8But You, O Yahuwah, will laugh at them in scorn; You hold all the nations in derision. 9O my Strength, I watch and give heed to You and sing praises; for You are my (1) Defense, (2) Protector and (3) High Tower. 10 Your steadfast love meets me; You let me look “triumphantly” on my enemies; those who lie in wait for me.
11Slay them not, lest my people forget; scatter them by Your power and make them wander to and fro, and bring them down, O Yahuwah my Shield! 12 For the transgressions of their mouths and the words of their lips, let them even be trapped and taken in their pride, and for the cursing and lying which they utter.
13Consume them in wrath, consume them so that they are no more; and let them know unto the ends of the earth that Yahuwah rules over Yahqob-Yashar’Al. 14And at evening let them return; let them howl and snarl like dogs, and go prowling about the city. 15 Let them wander up and down for food and tarry all night if they are not satisfied; not getting their fill.
16But I sing of Your mighty strength and power; yes, I sing aloud of Your kind acts, Your favor, and Your Benefits in the morning; for You have been to me a (1) defense; a (2) fortress, a (3) high tower and a (4) refuge in the day of my distress. 17Unto You, O my Strength, I sing praises; for Yahuwah is my Defense, my Fortress, and High Tower, the Mighty Creator Who shows me goodness and kindness.
1 Thank You Yahuwah, You have accepted me and gathered me to Yourself and become my shelter, protection, hiding place and my shield. I thank You that You are pleased with me, have restored me, turned Yourself to me and made Your face shine upon me. 2You have made the land to quake and tremble, You have rent it open; repair its breaches, for it shakes and totters. 3 You have made my path level and straight. You have fed me with food needful to me; and the fresh, healthy Living Water of Life.
4But now You have erected a banner for those who fear and worshipfully revere You, a standard displayed because of the truth. 5That Your beloved ones may be delivered, save with Your right hand and answer me.
10 I thank You that You have accepted me, O Yahuwah. I thank You that You go forth, O Yahuwah, with me. 11 O give me help against the adversary, for vain, ineffectual, and of no purpose is the help or salvation of man. 12 Through Yahuwah I do valiantly, for He it is Who treads down my adversaries.
5th Book of the Torah 8
1 I am watchful to do all the commandments which Yahuwah commanded me this day; I live and multiply and go in and possess the land which Yahuwah swore to give to my fathers.
2 I earnestly remember all The Way which Yahuwah my Mighty Creator led me these forty years in the wilderness, to humiliate or to humble me and to make a qualitative and quantitative analysis of what I was made of, to know what was in the seat of my appetites, emotions, passions and courage, whether I would keep his commandments or not.
3 And He occupied or busied me with voracious hunger and consuming manna, which I had not experienced nor had my fathers experienced, that He might make me recognize and personally know that man does not live for ever or be restored to life and health by bread only, but man lives for ever and is restored to life and health by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahuwah.
4 My clothing did not become old upon me nor do my feet swell these forty years.
5 I know also in my mind and heart that, as a man disciplines and instructs his son, so Yahuwah my Mighty Creator disciplines, instructs, and corrects me.
6 So I keep the commandments of Yahuwah my Mighty Creator, to walk in His Ways and tremble and be in awe of Him.
7 For Yahuwah my Mighty Creator is bringing me into a excellent land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing forth in valleys and hills;
8 A land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey;
9 A land in which I eat food without shortage and lack nothing in it; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills I can dig copper.
10 I have eaten and am full; I praise Yahuwah my Mighty Creator for all the excellent land which He has given me.
11 I remember Yahuwah my Mighty Creator by keeping His commandments, His precepts, and His statutes which He commanded me today,
12 Six days do I labor and do all that he has commanded me to do. As my wages He gives me my own land and on it I build beautiful houses and dwell in them,
13 My herds and flocks are multiplied; my silver and my gold is multiplied and all I have is multiplied,
14 I do not allow my mind and heart to be lifted up and allow myself to forget Yahuwah my Mighty Creator, Who brought me out of Babylon, out of the house of bondage,
15 Who led me through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; who brought water for you out of the flinty rock;
16 Who fed me in the wilderness with manna, which my fathers did not know, that He might humble me and test me, to do me kindness in the end.
17 I do not say in my mind and heart, my power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.
18 I carefully speak of with praise Yahuwah my Mighty Creator, for it is He Who gives me power to get wealth, that He may establish His Covenant which He swore to my fathers, as it is this day.
19 I do not forget, ignore, cease to be concerned about, or cease to have a special preference for Yahuwah the Mighty Creator. I do not lead a walk of life that departs from and leads away to other deities or idols. I do not work for, serve by labor, serve as a subject, make myself a servant; allow myself to be compelled to labor for, work for, or serve them as a subject; or be coerced into serving them; neither do I bow down or prostrate myself before them as if before a superior in homage. Yahuwah has born witness, has told me over and over, has affirmed solemnly, given me warning, solemnly exhorted, enjoined, and admonished me this day that if I do so I will surely be exterminated, blotted out, of divine judgment.
20 Like the nations which Yahuwah makes to be exterminated, blotted out, and of divine judgment before me, so will I be exterminated, blotted out, and of divine judgment, because I would not understand, listen to, yield to, and obey the proclamations of Yahuwah my Mighty Creator.
1 I do not make for myself idols nor do I erect a graven image, pillar, or obelisk, nor do I place any figured stone in my land to which to pay homage; for He is Yahuwah my mighty Creator. 2 I keep Yahuwah’s Sabbaths and reverence His sanctuary. He is Yahuwah.
3 Since I walk in Yahuwah’s statutes and keep His commandments and do them, 4 Yahuwah gives me rain in due season, and the land yields her increase and the trees of the field yield their fruit. 5 And my threshing time reaches to the vintage and the vintage time reaches to the sowing time, and I eat my bread to the full and dwell in my land securely. 6 Yahuwah gives me shalom; completeness, soundness, health, happiness, prosperity, well-being, peace, safety, quiet, tranquility, contentment and friendship of human relations in the land; I lie down and none makes me tremble, quake, or be afraid; and Yahuwah clears ferocious, wild beasts out of the land, and no sword goes through my land. 7 I chase my enemies, and they fall before me by the sword. 8Five of us chase a hundred, and a hundred of us put ten thousand to flight; my enemies fall before me by the sword.
9For Yahuwah turns and looks toward and approaches me; thinks highly of me, shows me respect, is concerned about me, and considers me when making a decision. He renders me fruitful and multiplies me. He establishes, confirms, and ratifies His covenant with me. 10And I eat the abundant old store of produce long kept, and clear out the old to make room for the new. 11 Yahuwah makes His dwelling with me, and His soul does not despise or reject or separate itself from me. 12And I walk in and with Yahuwah and He is my Mighty Creator, and I am His man/woman. 13 He is Yahuwah my mighty Creator, Who brought me forth out of the land of Egypt, that I should NO MORE be a man-servant; and Yahuwah has broken the bars of my yoke and made me walk erect as a free man.
14 But if I will not hearken to Yahuwah and will not do all these commandments, 15 And if I reject, despise, refuse Yahuwah’s statutes and let them flow out like water; if my soul abhors, loathes, vilely casts away, rejects as loathsome, or shows aversion to Yahuwah’s ordinances, so that I will not do all Yahuwah’s commandments, but break, frustrate, violate, make ineffectual, or shatter His covenant, 16 Yahuwah will do this: He will appoint over me sudden terror and trembling even consumption and fever that consume and waste the eyes and make the physical life pine away. I sow my seed in vain, for my enemies eat it. 17 Yahuwah will turn His face away from me and I will be defeated and slain before my enemies; they who hate me rule over me; and I will flee when no one pursues me.
18And if in spite of all this if I still will not listen and be obedient to Yahuwah, then Yahuwah will chastise and discipline me seven times more for my transgressions. 19And Yahuwah will break and humble my pride in my power, and Yahuwah will make His Shamayim (hea.) as iron yielding no answer, no benefits, no rain and His earth as sterile as brass. 20And my strength shall be spent in vain, for my land will not yield its increase, neither the trees of the land yield their fruit.
21If I oppose or resist Yahuwah and will not listen to, understand, yield too, and obey Yahuwah, Yahuwah will bring seven times more plagues upon me, according to my transgressions. 22 Yahuwah will loose the wild beasts of the field among us, which rob us of our children, destroy our livestock, and make us few so that our roads shall be deserted and desolate. 23 If by these means I am not turned to Yahuwah but determine to walk contrary to Yahuwah, 24 Yahuwah also will walk contrary to us, and Yahuwah will smite us seven times for our transgressions. 25And Yahuwah will bring a sword upon us that executes the vengeance for the breaking of Yahuwah’s covenant; and we shall be gathered together within our cities, and Yahuwah will send the pestilence among us, and we shall be delivered into the hands of the enemy.
26When Yahuwah breaks my staff of bread and cuts off my supply of food, ten women bake our bread in one oven, and they ration our bread and deliver it again by weight; and we will eat, and not be satisfied.
27And if in spite of all this if we will not listen and give heed to Yahuwah but walk contrary to Yahuwah, 28Then Yahuwah will walk contrary to us in wrath, and Yahuwah also will chastise us seven times for our transgressions. 29 We will eat the flesh of our sons and of our daughters. 30And Yahuwah will destroy our high places devoted to idolatrous worship, and cut down our sun-images, and throw our dead bodies upon the wrecked bodies of our idols, and Yahuwah’s soul will abhor us with deep and unutterable loathing. 31 Yahuwah will lay our cities waste, bring our sanctuaries to desolation, and Yahuwah will not smell the fragrance of our sweet and soothing odors of offerings made by fire. 32And Yahuwah will bring the land into desolation, and our enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it. 33 Yahuwah will scatter us among the nations and draw out our enemies’ sword after us; and our land shall be desolate and our cities a waste.
34 Then the land of Yashar’Al has the opportunity to enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and we are in our enemies’ land; then the land rests, to enjoy and receive payments for its Sabbaths that Yahuwah has ordained for it. 35As long as it lies desolate and waste, it has rest, the rest it did not have in our Sabbaths when we dwelt upon it.
36 As for those who are left of you, Yahuwah will send dejection, lack of courage, and faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a driven leaf will put them to hasty and tumultuous flight, and they flee as if from the sword, and fall when no one pursues them. 37 They stumble over one another as if to escape a sword when no one pursues them; and they have no power to stand before their enemies. 38 They shall perish among the nations; the land of our enemies eats them up.
39 And those who are left decay, rot, and fester in their perversity, depravity, iniquity, and guilt in their enemies’ lands; also in the iniquities of their fathers they decay, rot, and fester like them. 40 But if they show or point out with their hands extended their own and their fathers’ perversity, depravity, iniquity, and guilt; the disloyalty of allegiance which they committed against Yahuwah–and also that because they have lived a manner of life of hostile opposition that lead away from Yahuwah
41 Yahuwah also walked contrary to them and will bring them into the land of their enemies–if then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they then accept the punishment for their iniquity, 42 Then will Yahuwah earnestly remember His covenant with Yahqob, Yahuwah’s covenant with Yitschaq, and Yahuwah’s covenant with Abraham, and earnestly remembers the land.
43But the land shall be left behind them and enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; and they accept the punishment for their transgressions and make amends because they despised and rejected Yahuwah’s ordinances and their soul scorned and rejected Yahuwah’s statutes. 44And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, Yahuwah will not spurn and cast them away, neither will Yahuwah despise and abhor them to destroy them utterly and to break His covenant with them, for He is Yahuwah their Mighty Creator. 45But Yahuwah will for their sake earnestly remember the covenant with their forefathers whom Yahuwah brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that Yahuwah might be their Mighty Creator. He is Yahuwah.
46These are the (1) statutes, (2) ordinances, and (3) laws which Yahuwah made between Him and the Yisra’elites on Mount Sinai through Mashah.
32 I rely on Yahuwah; I adhere to Him. I trust in Yahuwah’s Yahuwshuwah; or, His salvation, deliverance, assistance in time of need, prosperity, final and complete superiority; His power to save in every aspect. I rely on and adhere to Yahuwah for His wondrous works. I earnestly remember that Yahuwah is my Rock and the Most High is the One who frees and delivers me from Babylonian captivity. My heart is right and sincere with Yahuwah and my heart is trusting and steadfast to His Covenant. And Yahuwah is full of compassion toward me and forgives my iniquity and destroys me not. 39 He earnestly remembers that I am but flesh; air put in motion by His Breath that follows and does not depart from a pre-genetically disposed manner of life.
42 I keep in my mind and consider the miracles of the working of His hand and the day He delivered Yashar’Al from the enemy, how He wrought His miracles in Egypt and His wonders in the field of Zoan where Pharaoh resided and turned their rivers into blood, and their streams, so that they could not drink from them. He sent swarms of venomous flies among them which devoured them, and frogs which destroyed them. He gave also their crops to the caterpillar and the fruit of their labor to the locust. He destroyed their vines with hail and their sycamore trees with frost and great chunks of ice. He caused them to shut up their cattle or gave them up also to the hail and their flocks to hot thunderbolts. He let loose upon them the fierceness of His anger, His wrath and indignation and distress, by sending a mission of angels of calamity and woe among them. He leveled and made a straight path for His anger to give it free course; He did not spare the Egyptian families from death but gave their beasts over to the pestilence and the life of their eldest over to the plague. 51 He smote all the firstborn in Egypt, the chief of their strength in the tents of the land of the sons of Ham.
52 Yahuwah leads me forth as one of His sheep and guides me with a shepherd’s care through the wilderness. He leads me on safely and in confident trust, so that I fear not; the sea overwhelms my enemies. He brings me to His consecrated border, the border of Yashar’Al His sanctuary, even to Mount Tsion which His right hand has acquired. He drives out the nations before me and allots their land as a heritage, measured out and partitioned; and He makes me to dwell in the homes of those dispossessed.
I thank you Father that you bring dignitaries to nothing, You make the judges and rulers of the
earth as chaos; emptiness, falsity, and futility.
Scarcely are they planted, scarcely are they sown, scarcely does their stock take root in the earth and when You blow upon them they wither, and the whirlwind or tempest takes them away like chaff.
27 I thank you Father that my way of life, course of life, and mode of living are not hidden from You. I thank you my rights are valid and preserved by You. 28 I know and have heard that Yahuwah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; His understanding cannot be searched out. 29 He gives strength, power, might; substance, wealth and riches to the faint, weary, and fatigued; to him who has no strength, power, might, substance or wealth He enlarges, increases, and multiplies strength, power, might, substance and wealth causing it to abound. 30 Even youths faint and are weary; young men feebly stumble and fall exhausted; 31 But, since I expect, look for, and have a confident expectation in Yahuwah I renew my strength, power, might, substance, wealth and riches; I lift my wings and mount up as an eagle to the sun; I run and am not weary, I walk and do not become faint or tired.
From the rising of the sun I call upon Yahuwah’s name. I recognize that my victories have been granted to me by Yahuwah. I tread upon magistrates and deputies as upon mortar and as the potter treads clay.
10 I am your witness Yahuwah; I’m Your servant whom You have chosen, that I may (1) know You, (2) believe You, (3) remain steadfast to You, and (4) understand who You are. Before You there is no Mighty Creator formed, neither shall there be after You. 11 You are Yahuwah, and besides You there is no liberation, deliverance, salvation, or victory.
12 You declare the future and liberate, deliver, save, and give the victory. There is no strange and alien deity with me; therefore I am Your witness that You are the Mighty Creator. 13 You have existed from the first day and from this day forward there is no one who can deliver out of Your hand. You work, and who can hinder or reverse it? 14 For the sake of Yashar’Al You have sent me to Babylon, and I will put to flight, cause to flee, or chase away those persons considered the wisest in the land; the inhabitants of Babylon; the astrologers or profane writers, into the ships over which they rejoiced. 15 You are Yahuwah, my Consecrated One, the Creator of Yashar’Al, my King.
2 Yahuwah has made me and formed me from the womb. Since Yahuwah helps me I fear not. I am your servant whom You have chosen. 3 I thank you Father that Your living water gushes forth upon me since I desire you eagerly. I thank you that you cause water to flow down plentifully upon those whose confident expectation has failed. I thank You that You pour Your Ruwach upon me. 4 I spring up among the grass like willows or poplars by the watercourses. 5 I say, I am Yahuwah’s; I call myself by the name of Yahqob; I write upon my hand, I am Yahuwah’s, and surname myself by the name of Yashar’Al. 6 Thus says Yahuwah, the King of Yashar’Al and my Redeemer, the Commander of the angel armies: I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me there is no Mighty Creator.
Kings are my caretakers, and their queens my nursing mother. They bow down to me with their faces to the earth and lick up the dust of my feet; and I perceive with an acquaintance and understanding based on and grounded in personal experience who Yahuwah is; I am not disappointed since I wait for, look for, have a confident expectation in, and bind myself to Yahuwah.
Yahuwah the Mighty Creator has given Me the tongue of a disciple as one who is taught, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He wakens Me morning by morning, He wakens My ear to hear as one who is taught. 5 Yahuwah the Mighty Creator has opened My ear, and I have not been rebellious or turned backward.
22 Thus says my Master and my King, Yahuwah my Mighty Creator, Who conducts my case and contends for me: Behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering and intoxication; the cup of My wrath you shall drink no more. 23 I put it into the hands of your tormentors and oppressors, those who said to you, Bow down, that we may ride or tread over you; and you have made your back like the ground and like the street for them to pass over.
13 All my children are taught by Yahuwah. and great is my children’s peace.14 In righteousness I am established: Tyranny is far from me; I have nothing to fear. Terror is far removed; it is not near me. 15 If anyone does attack me, it is not Yahuwah’s doing; whoever attacks me surrenders to me. No weapon forged against me prevails, and I refute every tongue that accuses me. This is thaheritag4of the servants of Yahuwah, and my vindication is from Yahuwah.
6 I fast the way Yahuwah has chosen: I loose the bonds of wickedness. I undo the bands of the yoke and let the oppressed go free. I break every enslaving yoke. 7 I divide my bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into my house. When I see the naked I cover him. I do not hide myself from the needs of my own flesh and blood, 8 Then, my light breaks forth like the morning, and my healing springs forth speedily. My righteousness; my rightness, justice, and right relationship with Yahuwah goes before me conducting me to peace and prosperity, and the shining splendor of Yahuwah is my rear guard. 9 When I call, Yahuwah answers me; when I cry, Yahuwah says, Here I am. Since I take away from my midst yokes of oppression wherever I find them, the finger pointed in scorn toward the oppressed or the righteous, and every form of false, harsh, unjust, and wicked speaking (aven in Hebrew). 10 Since I pour out that with which I sustain my own life for the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then my light rises in darkness, and my calamity and gloom become happiness and prosperity.
11 Yahuwah guides me continually and satisfies me in drought and in dry places and makes strong my bones. And I am like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters fail not. 12 My ancient ruins are rebuilt; I raise up the foundations of many generations; and I am called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. 13 Since I don’t trample on the day of rest and do as you please on Yahuwah’s Sabbath, from doing my own pleasure on His Consecrated day. I call the Sabbath a delight, the Consecrated day of Yahuwah weighty, and give great weight to Him and it, not going my own way or seeking or finding my own pleasure or speaking my own idle words, 14 Then I keep my eye on Yahuwah, and He makes me to ride on the high places of the earth, and He feeds me with the heritage of Yahqob my father; for the mouth of Yahuwah has spoken it.
1 I love You fervently and devotedly Yahuwah. Yahuwah is my Strength. 2 Yahuwah is my Rock, my Fortress, my mountain castle. Yahuwah is the reason I am delivered and escape from danger. Yahuwah is my keen and firm Strength in Whom I trust and take refuge. Yahuwah is my Shield and the protector who provides me with deliverance, salvation, rescue, safety, and welfare. Yahuwah is my High Place of Refuge.
3I call upon Yahuwah and boast about him; I am liberated and delivered from; I victoriously conquer those who make themselves my enemies through hatred or persecution.
4The cords or bands of death surrounded me, and the abundant and unceasing stream of worthless, unprofitable, debased or counterfeit fellows and the torrents of ruin caused me to remember that Yahuwshuwah said that He has left His perfect and constant completeness, peace, safety, health, prosperity, tranquility, and contentment with me. I do not let my heart be troubled; neither do I let it be afraid. I do not allow myself to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit myself to be fearful, intimidated, cowardly or unsettled.
5When the cords of Sheol (the place of the dead) surround me; the snares of death confront and come upon me. 6 I call upon Yahuwah and cry out to my Mighty Creator; He hears my voice and takes action out of His temple in heaven; my cry comes before Him, into His very ears.
[v. 7-15 omitted]
16 He reached from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. 17He delivered me from my strong enemy and from those who hate and abhor me, for they are too strong for me. Yahuwah is my stay and support. 19 He brings me forth into a large place; He delivers me because He is pleased with me and delights in me.
20 Yahuwah rewards me according to my adherence to His Torah; according to the purity of my hands has He rewarded me. 21 I hear and do the Way of Yahuwah and have not wickedly departed from my Mighty Creator. 22 For all His ordinances are before me, and I do not leave undone, reject, or abolish His statutes. 23 I am upright before Him and blameless with Him, ever on guard to keep myself free from Torah violations and guilt.
24 Yahuwah restores me according to my adherence to His Torah, according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight. 25With the kind You will show Yourself kind, with an upright man You will show Yourself upright, 26With the pure You will show Yourself pure, and with those of fraudulent speech You show Yourself in a twisted and distorted manner. 27 You deliver me because I submit myself to You but bring down those who exalt themselves.
28 You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine; Yahuwah my Mighty Creator illumines my darkness.
29 By Yahuwah I drive away a band of soldiers, and by my Mighty Creator I leap over a wall.
30As for Yahuwah, His way is entirely in accord with Torah! The word of Yahuwah is tested and tried; Yahuwah is a shield to me since I flee to Him for protection & take refuge in Him.
31For who is a Mighty Creator except Yahuwah? Who is my Rock with the exception of my Mighty Creator, 32The strong and powerful One who equips me with strength, power, might, virtue, an army and wealth and makes my course of life entirely in agreement or harmony with the Torah!!
33 Yahuwah makes my feet like hinds’ feet able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble; He seats me securely upon my high places. 34He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
35 I thank you Father that you protect me with the force of arms and provide me with deliverance, safety, welfare, and prosperity; your salvation. Your right hand holds me up. Your gentleness and meekness have made me great and mighty and increased my substance.
36 Yahuwah gives me plenty of room for my steps under me, that my feet would not slip. 37I pursue my enemies and overtake them; neither do I turn again till they are consumed. 38 I smite them so that they are not able to rise; they fall wounded under my feet. 39 For Yahuwah girds me with strength for the battle; Yahuwah subdues under me and causes to bow down those who rise up against me. 40 Yahuwah has made my enemies turn their backs to me, and I cut off those who hate me.
41 They cried for help, but there was none to deliver–even unto Yahuwah, but He answered them not. 42Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I emptied them out as the dirt and mire of the streets.
43 Yahuwah delivers me from the strife, disputes, and quarrels of my adversarial countrymen or kinsman; He makes me ruler of the heathen; a people I had not known served me. 44As soon as they hear of me, they obey me. The seed of the strangers is smitten with the staff and 45 they lose heart and flee out of their enclosures.
46Yahuwah lives! Praised be my Rock; and let the Almighty of my salvation be exalted, 47 The Almighty Who avenges me and subdues peoples under me, 48Who delivers me from my enemies; yes, You lift me up above those who rise up against me; You deliver me from the man who is cruel, unjust, and oppressive.
49Therefore I give thanks and praise You, O Yahuwah, among the nations, and sing praises to Your name. 50 Yahuwah gives great deliverances and triumphs to me his king; and shows steadfast love to His anointed, to me and my offspring forever.
11 Mighty Creator, go forth with me. 12 Give me help against the adversary, for vain, ineffectual, and of no purpose is the help of man. 13 Through and with You I do valiantly, for You it is Who treads down my adversaries.
1MIGHTY CREATOR of my praise! Keep not silence, 2For the mouths of the impure mixers and the mouth of deceit are opened against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues. 3They have compassed me about also with words of hatred and have fought against me without a cause. 4In return for my love they are my adversaries, but I resort to prayer. 5And they have rewarded and laid upon me evil for kindness, and hatred for my love. 6 Seat a man who is an impure mixer over him as a judge, and let a malicious accuser stand at his right hand. 7When the impure mixer is judged, let him be condemned, and let his prayer for leniency be turned into a Torah violation. 8Let his days be few; and let another take his office and charge. 9Let his children be fatherless and his wife a widow. 10 Let his children be continual vagabonds as was Cain and beg; let them seek their bread and be driven far from their ruined homes. 11Let the creditor and extortioner seize all that he has; and let strangers, barbarians and foreigners plunder the fruits of his labor. 12Let there be none to extend or continue kindness to him, neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children. 13Let his posterity be cut off, and in the generation following let their names be blotted out. 14Let the iniquity of his father’s be remembered by Yahuwah; and let not the Torah violations of his mother be blotted out. 15Let them be before Yahuwah continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth!– 16Because the man did not earnestly remember to show pity, but pursued and persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart he was ready to slay. 17Yes, he loved cursing, and it came back upon him; he delighted not in invoking benefits, and it was far from him. 18 He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment, and it seeped into his inward life like water, and like oil into his bones. 19Let it be to him as the raiment with which he covers himself and as the girdle with which he is girded continually. 20 Let this be the reward of my adversaries from Yahuwah, and of those who speak evil against my life. 21But You deal with me and act for me, Mighty Creator Yahuwah, for Your name’s sake; because Your loving-kindness is excellent, O deliver me. 22 I am prosperous and have no lack. My heart is fixed on You. 23 I remember what you did to Pharaoh and his army at the Red Sea and do not tempt you as they did at the waters of Meribah or after returning to spy out the land. 24 My eyesight is not dim neither is my natural strength abated. You have strengthened my arm so that it bends a bow of bronze. 25 You have put the fear and the dread of me into all the nations wherever I go. 26Help me, Yahuwah my Mighty Creator; deliver, liberate, and give the victory to me according to Your loving-kindness!– 27That they may know that this is Your hand, that You, Yahuwah, have appointed, ordained, and instituted it. 28 Treat them with contempt; as a trifling or as insignificant, but cause me to prosper. When my adversaries arise, let them be a reproach, shamed, confused, and dishonored. But since I serve You I rejoice and am of a cheerful countenance. 29 Let my adversaries be clothed with shame and dishonor, and let them cover themselves with their own humiliation and confusion as with a robe. 30I will give great praise and thanks to Yahuwah with my mouth; yes, and I will praise Him among the multitude. 31 I thank You Father that You stand at my right hand to save me from those who condemn my life.
1Since I diligently listen to and obey the voice of Yahuwah my Mighty Creator; treasuring up in my memory and acting to achieve all His commandments which He has commanded me this day, Yahuwah my Mighty Creator seats me on high above all the people of the earth.
2Prosperity and excellent of every kind are brought to pass and take hold upon me since I listen and give heed to the voice of Yahuwah my Mighty Creator.
3I am caused to prosper in the city and I am caused to prosper in the field.
4Prospering is the fruit of my body and the fruit of my ground and the fruit of my beasts, the increase of my cattle and the heardlings of my flock.
5 I am caused to prosper in my basket and my kneading trough.
6 I am caused to prosper when I come in and I am caused to prosper when I go out. 7Yahuwah causes my enemies who rise up against me to be defeated before my face; they come out against me one way and flee before me seven ways. 8Yahuwah decrees and appoints prosperity upon me of every kind in my storehouse; He decrees and appoints prosperity of every kind upon all that I undertake. He gives benefits to me in the land which Yahuwah my Mighty Creator gives me. 9Yahuwah causes me to arise and become powerful as a man/woman consecrated to Himself, as He has sworn to me, since I keep the commandments of Yahuwah my Mighty Creator and walk in His ways. 10All people of the earth see that I am commissioned by Your name and that I walk in Your presence and they are terrified and tremble because of me.
11And Yahuwah makes me have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of my body, of my livestock, and of my ground, in the land which Yahuwah swore to my fathers to give me. 12Yahuwah opens to me His excellent treasury, the Shamayims, to give the rain of my land in its season and prospers all the work of my hands; and I lend too many people, but I do not borrow. 13And Yahuwah makes me the head, and not the tail; and I am above only, and I am not beneath, since I hear and do the commandments of Yahuwah my Mighty Creator which He has commanded me this day and I am watchful to do them.
14And I do not depart, avoid, cause to be removed, bring to an end, turn aside from, cause others to turn aside from, cause a departure from, remove, take away, put away, put aside, leave undone, retract, abolish, cause to be taken away or be removed any of the words which He has commanded me this day, to the right hand or to the left, to go after pagan deities to serve them.
15But if I will not obey the voice of Yahuwah my Mighty Creator, being watchful to do all His commandments and His statutes which He commands ME this day, then all these curses shall come upon ME and overtake ME:
• Cursed shall I be in the city
• cursed shall I be in the field.
• Cursed shall be my basket and my kneading trough, cursed shall be the fruit of my body, my land, the increase of my cattle and the increase of my sheep.
• Cursed shall I be when I come in
• Cursed shall I be when I go out.
• Yahuwah shall send me curses, tumult, confusion, disturbance, turmoil, and rebuke in every enterprise to which I put my hand, until I am destroyed, perishing quickly because of the evil of my doings since I have forsaken, deserted and abandoned my allegiance, or loyalty to Yahuwah’s exercise of authority or control Mashah and Yah as one; or, Yahshuwah and Yah as one.
• The curse of the cattle-plague will cling to me until He has consumed me from the land into which I go to possess.
• Yahuwah will smite me with a wasting disease of the lungs, with fever, with inflammation, with fiery heat, with sword, with drought, with blight, with rust, and these things will cause me to lose my way and wander like a lost sheep in the wilderness ready to perish.
• The Shamayims over my head shall be brass and the earth under me shall be iron.
• Yahuwah shall make the rain of my land powdered soil and dust; from the Shamayims it shall come down upon me until I am destroyed.
• Yahuwah shall cause me to be struck down before my enemies; I shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them
• I shall be tossed to and fro and be a terror among all the kingdoms of the earth.
• My dead body will be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and there shall be no one to frighten them away.
• Yahuwah will smite me with the inflamed spots or eruptions of Egypt; with tumors or hemorrhoids; with the scurvy or a scab; with the itch or an eruptive disease; with an angry Ruwach; and with blindness.
• Yahuwah will smite me with a destruction of my courage or resolution by exciting dread or fearful or uneasy anticipation of the future; I will be confused or disoriented; I will be in a state of mental numbness, resulting from shock; a daze. I will grope at noonday as the blind grope in darkness.
• I shall not advance, prosper, make progress, succeed, or be profitable in my ways
• I shall be only pressed upon, oppressed, violated, defrauded, have violence done to me, I’ll be wronged, and extorted. I shall be robbed by force continually
• There shall be no one to save, deliver or give the victory to me
• I shall betroth a wife, but another man shall lie with her
• I shall build a house, but not live in it
• And these curses shall be upon me for a sign and for a special display of Yahuwah’s power, and upon my descendants forever.
• All these things come upon me because I chose not to labor, work for, and serve Yahuwah my Mighty Creator with joyfulness of mind and heart in gratitude for the abundance of all with which He had bestowed upon me
• I shall plant a vineyard, but not gather its grapes.
• My ox shall be slain before my eyes, but I shall not eat of it
• My donkey shall be violently taken away before my face and not be restored to me
• My sheep shall be given to my enemies
• I shall have no one to help me
• My sons and daughters shall be given to another people and my eyes shall look and fail with longing for them all the day; and there shall be no power in my hands to prevent it.
• A nation which I have not known shall eat up the fruit of my land and of all my labors, and I shall be only oppressed and crushed continually.
• I shall have poor mental health caused by the sights which my eyes shall see.
• Yahuwah will smite me on the knees and on the legs with a sore boil that cannot be healed, from the sole of my foot to the top of my head.
• Yahuwah shall bring me and my king whom I have put over me to a nation which neither I nor my fathers have known, and there I shall be forced to serve other idols, of wood and stone.
• I shall suffer from depression occasioned by terror, others will consider themselves superior to me in mental action, I shall be the object of a saying among all the peoples to which Yahuwah will lead me.
• I shall carry much seed out into the field and shall gather little in, for the locust shall consume it.
• I shall plant vineyards and dress them but shall neither drink of the wine nor gather the grapes, for the worm shall eat them.
• I shall have olive trees throughout all my territory but I shall not anoint myself with the oil, for my olive trees shall drop their fruit.
• I shall beget sons and daughters but shall not enjoy them, for they shall go into captivity.
• All my trees and the fruit of my ground shall the locust possess.
• The transient (stranger) shall mount up higher and higher above me, and I shall come down lower and lower.
• He shall lend to me, but I shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and I shall be the tail.
• All these curses shall come upon me and shall pursue me and overtake me till I am destroyed, because I do not obey the voice of Yahuwah my Mighty Creator, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded.
• Therefore I shall serve my enemies whom Yahuwah shall send against me, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and in want of all things; and (v. 48) He will put a yoke of iron upon my neck until He has destroyed me.
• Yahuwah will bring a nation against me from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language I shall not understand, a nation of unyielding countenance who will not regard the person of the old or show favor to the young, and shall eat the fruit of my cattle and the fruit of my ground until I am destroyed, who also shall not leave me grain, new wine, oil, the increase of my cattle or the young of my sheep until they have caused me to perish.
• They shall besiege me in all my towns until my high and fortified walls in which I trusted come down throughout all my land; and they shall besiege me in all my towns throughout all my land which Yahuwah my Mighty Creator has given me. And I shall eat the fruit of my own body, the flesh of my sons and daughters whom Yahuwah my Mighty Creator has given me, in the siege and in the [pressing] misery with which my enemies shall keep me down by severe and unjust use of force or authority.
• The man who is kindest among us who has perfected his love toward others, his eye shall be cruel and grudging of food toward his brother and toward the wife of his bosom and toward those of his children still remaining, so that he will not give to any of them any of the flesh of his children which he is eating, because he has nothing left to him in the siege and in the distress with which our enemies shall distress us in all our towns.
• The most tender and daintily bred woman among us, who would not venture to put the sole of her foot upon the ground because she is so dainty and kind, will grudge to the husband of her bosom, to her son and to her daughter her afterbirth that comes out from her body and the children whom she shall bear. For she will eat them secretly for want of anything else in the siege and distress with which my enemies shall distress us in our towns.
• If I will not be watchful to do all the words of this Torah [the means to an end] that are written in this book, that I have a positive feeling of awe, respect and reverence toward the heavy, weighty, esteemed and fearful name and presence–Yahuwah my Mighty Creator.
• 59 Then Yahuwah will bring upon me and my children extraordinary strokes and blows, difficult to do plagues of long continuance, and disagreeable, malignant, unpleasant, painful, miserable, and vicious in disposition weaknesses, sicknesses, diseases, tiredness, and soreness in support, establishment, confirmation and loyalty to these words.
• Moreover, He will bring upon me all the diseases of Egypt of which I am afraid, and they shall cling to me. Also every sickness and every affliction which is not written in this Book of the Law Yahuwah will bring upon me until I am destroyed.
• And we shall be left few in number, whereas we had been as the stars of the Shamayims for multitude, because we would not obey the voice of Yahuwah our Mighty Creator. And as Yahuwah enjoyed doing us kindness and multiplying us, so Yahuwah will enjoy bringing ruin upon us and to destroy us; and we shall be expelled or driven from the land into which we go to possess.
• And Yahuwah shall dash us into pieces and scatter us among all peoples from one end of the earth to the other; and there we shall be forced [by pagan laws] to serve idols of wood and stone, which neither we nor your fathers have known. And among these nations I shall find no ease and there shall be no rest for the sole of my foot; but Yahuwah will give us there fear and anxiety of heart, failing [deficient in performance] of eyes, lack of conviction, boldness, or courage; lack of confidence, and weakness; I will lack vigor, force, or effectiveness; I’ll be inadequate and lose strength or vigor. I will exist or continue in miserable or disheartening conditions of ruwach.
• My life will hang in doubt before me; day and night I shall be worried, and have no assurance of my life. In the morning I will say, Would that it were evening! And at evening I shall say, would that it were morning!–because of the state of apprehension, uncertainty, and fear resulting from the anticipation of a realistic or fantasized threatening event or situations resulting in the impairment of my physical and psychological functioning and I shall be in terror of and in anticipation with alarm and very afraid of in my mind and heart of the sights which I see with my own eyes.
• And Yahuwah shall bring me into Egypt again with ships by the way about which He said to me, you shall never see it again. And there I shall be sold to my enemies as a bondman/ bondwomen, but no man shall buy me.
31 I’ve seen the great work Yahuwah did against the Babylonians, and I reverently fear Yahuwah and trust in, rely on, and remain steadfast to Yahuwah and to His servant Mashah.
1THEN MASHAH and the Yisra’elites sang this song to Yahuwah, saying, I sing to Yahuwah, for He is exalted in triumph; the horse, his rider, and the chariot has He thrown into the sea. 2Jahuwah is my Strength, might and power; He is my strength, might, power and my Song, and He has become my Salvation, deliverance welfare, prosperity, and victory; my Salvation; this is my Almighty, and I will praise Him, my father’s Almighty, and I exalt Him. 3 Yahuwah is a Man of War; Yahuwah is His name. 4 The rulers of Babylon’s chariots and his host has He cast into the sea; his chosen captains also are sunk in the Red Sea. 5The floods cover them; they sank in the depths clad in mail like a stone.
6Your right hand, O Yahuwah, is great and majestic in power; Your right hand, O Yahuwah, shatters the enemy. 7In the greatness of Your majesty You overthrow those rising against You. You send forth Your fury; it consumes them like stubble. 8 With the blast of Your nostrils the waters piled up, the floods stood fixed in a heap, the deeps congealed in the heart of the sea.
9The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my desire shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them. 10You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; clad in mail they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
11 Who is like You, O Yahuwah, among the pagan deities? Who is like You, majestic, awesome in splendor, doing wonders? 12 You stretched out Your right hand, the earth’s sea swallowed them.
13You in Your loving-kindness have led forth the people whom You have redeemed; You have guided them in Your strength to Your consecrated habitation.
14The people have heard of it; they tremble; pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Philistia. 15Now the chiefs of Edom are dismayed; the mighty men of Moab renowned for strength, trembling takes hold of them; all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away–little by little. 16Terror and dread fall upon them; because of the greatness of Your arm they are as still as a stone–till Your people pass by and over into Canaan, O Yahuwah, till the people pass by whom You have purchased.
17You will bring them in to the land and plant them on Your own mountain, the place, O Yahuwah, You have made for Your dwelling, the sanctuary, O Yahuwah, which Your hands have established. 18Jahuwah will reign forever and ever.
19 For the horses of the rulers of Babylon went with their chariots and horsemen into the sea, and Yahuwah brought back the waters of the sea upon them, but the Yisra’elites walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea.
27Jahuwah sends His terror before me and throws into confusion all the people to whom I do come, and He makes all my foes turn from me in flight.
28 Yahuwah sends the hornets before me which drives out the Babylonians and oppressive public servants from before me.
14 Yahuwah’s Presence goes with me, and He gives me space, quiet, and rest. 15 Yahuwah, If Your Presence does not go with me, do not carry me up from here! 16For by what shall it be known that I and Your people have found favor in Your sight? Is it not in Your going with me so that I am distinguished, I and Your people, from all the other people upon the face of the earth?
17 I thank you Father that I have found favor, loving-kindness, and pity in Your sight and that you know me personally and by name.
18 Yahuwah, I beseech You, show me Your shining splendor, 19 make all Your excellence pass before me, and proclaim Your name before me; be favorable unto me and show loving-kindness to me.
10And Yahuwah said, Behold, the terms of the mutual agreement between Yashar’Al and Me a covenant. Before me Yahuwah does marvels, wonders, miracles such as have not been wrought or created in all the earth or in any nation; and all the people among whom I am see the work of Yahuwah; for it is a terrible thing, fearful and full of awe, that Yahuwah does with me.
11 I observe/shamar what Yahuwah has commanded me this day. Yahuwah drives out before me the Babylonians; those fraudulent, deceptive governments and nations.
12 I take heed to myself, lest I make a covenant or mutual agreement with the inhabitants of the land to which I go, lest it become a snare in the seat of my thoughts and emotions.
13But I do destroy their altars, dash in pieces their pillars obelisks, images, and cut down their Asherim; a symbol of a female idol; 14For I do worship no other deity; for Yahuwah, Whose name will not bear any rival for Yahuwah is the severe avenger of anyone who departs from him, is a jealous impassioned Almighty, 15Lest I make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and when they play the harlot after their idols and sacrifice to their idols and one invites me and I eat of his food sacrificed to idols, 16And I take of their daughters for my sons, and their daughters play the harlot after their idols and make my sons play the harlot after their idols.
4 I am true to my duties and obligations; loyal. If I conform with, am in agreement with, or am in harmony with the mass of people unfriendly or hostile to Yahuwah I will be in a state of deep-seated ill-will with Yahuwah. If I associate familiarly with those unfriendly or hostile to Yahuwah, Yahuwah will be at war with me.
5 The Scripture yields the desired outcome when it says that, The Ruwach that dwells in us longs after us with painful desire.
6 Yahuwah commits revelation knowledge amounting to kindness and favor to me which I do not deserve that stimulates me to more and more Torah based excellent works. Yahuwah ranges in battle against those who go beyond what is right or proper in their feeling of superiority toward others, but grants merciful kindness and exerts his power to produce an outcome or achieve a result upon me, by means difficult to perceive by the mind or senses, since I meet His requirements in my service to Him.
7 With a voluntary attitude I work together with Yahuwah toward a common end or purpose. I oppose the false accuser that entices me to violate the Torah, and he flees from me as abhorrent.
8 I turn my thoughts to Yahuwah and establish an intimidate friendship with Him, and he turns His thoughts unto me and establishes an intimidate friendship with me. I rid my activities of involvement with other governments and alien habits. I purify myself from elements in my thoughts and emotions that cause Yahuwah to withhold his approval; I purify my soul of wavering and doubt.
9 I toil heavily, and mourn, and weep: I let my laughter be turned to mourning, and my joy to heaviness.
10 I assign a lower rank to myself while appearing in the presence of the One who controls me, and He has raised me to the state of being worthy of esteem or respect and special recognition for unusual achievement and has made me a prince among the people.
